Huawei announces Android 4.0 update for MediaPad

The much awaited Android Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade is now available for the Huawei MediaPad tablet. The Chinese manufacturer, has announced the availability of the ICS upgrade for MediaPAd tablets in India.

The new update will being a bundle of new features and apps. The new Operating System is based on the stock Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 reference design as well as the appearance of the OS is very close to the Google Android 4.0.

The users will also get to experience the new and improved camera application which can be accessed directly from the stand by mode with the help of the new unlock key or even the slide button. The new update will also give the users the all new gallery application, ability to dismiss the apps from the recently used menu, a new people app and also a number of performance Tweaks.

The new 4.0 OS is known for the better compatibility as well as performance and is certainly better than the stock Honeycomb Operating system, which featured in the device till now. Some of the features of the MediaPAd features, 7 inch display, 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, front and rear cameras, Wi Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
