Motorola Mobility launches new DEFY series for Indian market

Asia Bizz: US-based company Motorola Mobility has launched its Defy XT and Defy Mini Smartphones for the Indian market. The smartphones have been powered by a 1 GHz processor, has a 3.7 inch display, 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a front VGA camera.

What makes these smartphones stand out from the others is that it is dust proof , scratch-resistant and water-resistant. The new Motorola Defy Mini is a Dual SIM phone which is dust proof and water resistant. The smartphone is powered by a 600 MHz processor, 3.2 inch touch screen Corning Gorilla Glass Display, 3 mage pixel camera with flash and a VGA front facing camera.

Both the smartphones run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System, and have 512 B RAM , 3.5 mm stereo jack and expandable memory of up to 32 GB with micro SD slot. The connectivity features of the phones include Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi Fi, DLNA, GPS/GP.

Rajan Chawla, the country head of sales and operations at Motorola Mobility, “Our original Motorola DEFY was a hit all over Asia. We are now expanding our portfolio of water-resistant smartphones to give you more choices without having to break your wallet”.

The new Defy XT has been priced at Rs. 16,190 and will be available in stores from June 8, 2012 onwards.
