Samsung to launch Galaxy Beam in India, up for pre-orders

AsiaBizz.com: Gadget frenzied people who are eagerly waiting for the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Beam in India will not have to wait any longer. The device is now available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website and is expected to be launched anytime soon in the Asian nation.

The Galaxy Beam has been priced at Rs. 29,900 and unlike the pre-order of Galaxy S III, interested buyers will have to pay the full amount of the device in the beginning itself. However, this is a better way as the buyer is aware of the actual price instead of paying an initial token amount and then receiving a surprise when the device is actually launched.

The new Galaxy Beam, also known as the GT I18530, is the first projector phone which will cater to users who are movie buffs and look forward to a big screen experience while on the go. The device was announced in the month of February during MWC 2012.

Despite being power-packed with features, the smartphone is light as well as slim and can share pictures and videos of HD quality. The new Beam is also ideal for action packed interactive gaming. The phone has a 2000mAh battery, which means that the phone can run for two full length movies on a single charge.
