Nissan to Launch Electric Car Leaf At Low Rate of $32,780

Nissan has announced that it plans to launch its new electric car called Leaf at a low rate of $32,780, when the car launches later this year.

The Leaf will be priced cost at $32,780, but Nissan has reduced the price if the car thanks to the $7,500 federal tax reduction and the car could cost as low as $25,280.

A point that must be noted is that tax rebates tend to be higher in some states that have state-sponsored tax credits for purchasing an electric vehicle, and it is likely that the cost may not be the same.

Reports say that Nissan will take orders for the Leaf from April 20 2010 onwards, with the car set to be released in December.
