International fast food chain Wendy’s Japan will soon be opening its second restaurant in Roppongi on August17, 2012. The new store of the fast food chain will be located on Roppongi-dori opposite TGI Friday’s.

The fast food chain had made an exit from the Japan market and returned last year on December 27, 2012 after being away for two years. Wendy’s /Arby’s International Inc and Higa Industries have signed a joint venture agreement to develop and operate Wendy’s restaurants in Japan.

The Higa Industries is led by Ernest Higa who owned and operated 180 Dominoes Pizza stores in Japan before it sells the business in February 2010. The will be the first overseas joint venture for Wendy’s/Arby’s International. Wendy’s Japan also plans to open 100 stores in the next five years.

After Wendy’s returned to the Japan market it introduced two most outrageous offerings known as the Lobster Surf & Turf Burger and the Premium Caviar & Lobster Sandwich. The company took advantage of the lows in the lobster market and offered both the luxurious sandwiches for $16.28. The Lobster & Caviar Sandwich includes claw meat and lobster salad which is topped with mustardy mayonnaise, sprinkled with caviar. While the Surf and Turf Burger has whole pieces of Canadian lobster and is offered for $20.10.
