Motorists in China use fake permits to avoid tolls

The local media on August 8, 2012 reported that some of the private vehicles in Wuhan the capital of Central China’s Hubei province have used fake permits from the flood control authorities. The fake permits have been used so as to avoid paying the highway tolls.

After the city’s flood season arrived in the month of July, a toll station on the highway linking Wuhan’s Hankou and Huangpo districts has recorded more than 2,400 instances of private vehicles who tried to evade the tolls by using fake permits. The toll station was unaware of the situation until it received reports from the local residents.
