‘Gangs Of Wasseypur 2’ bags Rs. 3 crore on first day of release

After the release of the movie ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur 2’ of Anurag Kashyap, the movie has received rave reviews. While most of the critics have given it a thumps up, the movie has on its first day itself earned Rs. 3 crores.

Popular trade analyst, Tran Adarsh tweeted, “#GOW2 picked up during the course of the day, yesterday. Wednesday *early estimates* indicate 3 cr. May even cross 3 cr.” The movie has been earlier screened at the most prestigious film festivals like Cannes International Film Festival and Osian Cinefan and has also received good response.

The movie has shown rivalries between three families. In the first part, Manoj Bajpayee had played the role of one of the gang-lords Sardar Khan, while Nawazuddin Siddiqui carries for3ward the legacy in the second part.

The flick is full of fights, abuses and blood shed, due to which the Censor board has awarded it an ‘A’ certificate. Kashyap had well concluded the first part of the movie and is now also garnering appreciation for the second part which hit the movie theatres on August 8, 2012. Even Film maker Tigmanshu Dhulia has an important role to play in both the parts.
