Arvind Kejriwal not to be allowed by Delhi Police for gherao

On August 25, 2012 the Delhi Police on Saturday wrote to the India Against Corruption Activist Arvind Kejriwal, who is also the team member of Anan Hazare, in which it said that the Parliament is in session and the prohibitory orders are in place.

Arvind Kejriwal, on August 24, 2012 had announced a gherao of the residences of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP chief Nitin Gadkari on August 26, 2012. On the other hand the police said that no permission has been given to Kejriwal nd his supporters for gherao and Team Anna said there are no changes in the plan.

Kejriwal on Saturday asked his supporters to protest not just in Delhi but also outside the residences of the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Odisha in their respective. The protests will take place against the all allocations scam on Sunday when Kejriwal will be leading a rally from jantar Mantar to the residences of Manmohan Singh and Gadkari.

Kiran Bedi Tweeted, “I fully support Arvind’s call for Jantar Mantar rally. While I feel we need to focus on party in power, I respect his and others view to cover all!” Kiran Bedi expressed her apprehension over targeting all the parties on the coal allocations.
