Netflix, the online DVD delivery service company, is all set to release its new app for the iPhone very soon. It revealed the new app during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote on Monday, and this new app will help users to stream video over Wi-Fi and 3G, in addition to viewing recommendations, browsing through genres, as well as accessing your queue.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings told reporters that the iPhone app will give the “same service on your TV, iPad, or laptop.”
According to PCW: “The iPhone app will use HTTP adaptive streaming to improve video quality. As they can already, Netflix subscribers will be able to start watching a video on their TV, computer, or iPad, and then resume watching later on a different device, including the iPhone.”
The official release date of Netflix’s iPhone app is yet to be revealed.
