South Korean electronics giant Samsung has announced a price cut on its Galaxy Note II, Galaxy SIII and the Galaxy S Duos smartphones in the Indian market. The popular smartphone Galaxy S III was launched in the Indian market in 2012 for more than Rs. 40,000, but then the price was reduced to Rs. 38,000.

After the latest reduction in its price, the price of the 16 GB version of the phone has come down to Rs. 29,480. In the same way, the Galaxy Note II has now been priced at Rs. 35,600 as compared to the earlier price of Rs. 42,000, when it was launched.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Ace Duos was launched with a price tag of Rs. 17,000 plus, but with the first ever price reduction of the device, it will now be available for Rs. 13,160 only. The device is available with 4 GB on-board storage along with a dual-core processor.

In recent times, it has been reported that Samsung’s rival Apple has successfully increased its sales in the Indian market. Moreover, the company is in the middle of an extensive advertising and marketing campaign for its iPhone. Apple is now offering its iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4 with EMI options as well, so that sales of its flagship phone increase in the sub-continent.
