The passenger vehicle has been developed by Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles, which was formerly known as the Reva Electric Car Company. The new car will be a replacement for the earlier Reva, which is India’s first electric car. Anand Mahindra (the Mahidnra Group Chairman), while talking to the reporters said, “The launch of the Mahindra e2o marks an important milestone for the Mahindra Group…this is not just about selling a car, it is about telling people to change their lifestyle. We are working at creating an ecosystem that includes mobility solutions along with other environment-friendly innovations”.

Apart from the launch, the group has also planned to extend the mobility technology to its two wheelers. Pawan Goenka, while talking about the sales target for e20, said that it aims to sell 400-500 vehicles in a month, which will be a good number for the company.

The company is expecting that Delhi will be its biggest market, which will account for at least 150-200 units. Goenka revealed that it has so far invested about Rs. 100 crore for the e20.
