World championship and Olympic bronze medalist Vijender Singh has now become the first Indian boxer  to reach the peak of the AIBA world ranking in the 75kg category.
The Bhiwani boxer, who won India’s maiden World Championships medal in Milan earlier this month, has 2700 points and is ranked higher than the reigning champion Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan.
The International Boxing Association’s (AIBA) list which was updated after the Milan event.
