Telecom company MTS, brand under the Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd launched its dual-SIM phone on May 20, 2013. The recent launch is an initiative for the customers in Kolkata and West Bengal circle. The phone was launched with the help of popular Bengali actress Paoli Dam.

Sandeep Marwaha, chief operating officer for Kolkata and West Bengal of MTS India during the launch said, “We at MTS constantly look at innovative ways to engage and excite our customers. As a part of this endeavor, I am proud to announce the launch of an attractive dual sim (CDMA+GSM) handset for our customers in West Bengal circle.” The new handset by MTS is priced at Rs. 1,699 for the Indian market.

With the purchase of the phone, customers will also be able to use free voice and SMS benefits worth Rs. 600. MTS will also organize a contest where customers can win passes for the premiere of the upcoming Bengali movie ‘Sweetheart’.

Some of the important features of this handset include a 1.3-megapixel camera, video and audio player, FM radio and more. During the launch, the actress also promoted her upcoming Bengali movie ‘Sweetheart’ with the cast and crew of the movie.
