Japan-based two- and three-wheelers manufacturer Terra Motors has taken a major initiative and launched Kiwami, which is a 1000 cc electric superbike for the Indian market. The new Kiwami from Terra Motors has been priced at Rs. 18 lakh.

The new bike is targeted towards the youth, motorcycle enthusiasts and consumers in urban cities who are looking for eco-friendly variants. The rapid acceleration allows a speed of 160 km/hr and is based on the Japanese state-of-the-art technology.

Toru Tokushige, the chief executive officer and CEO of Terra Motor, while commenting on the company’s initiative said, ?India is the second largest producer of two-wheelers in the world. Hence it is an important market in our strategic growth plan and we intend to invest Rs 300 million in the Indian market next fiscal year.”

Apart from the recent launch, the company will also be introducing a series of executive e-scooters. The new e-scooters will target elite customers who want a stylish and high-end product. The bikes and three-wheeler options will be presented during the upcoming Auto Expo 2014.
