The dimensions of the new device are exactly the same – at 169 x 117 x 9.1 mm – with a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen, which has been featured on the previous model as well.

Moreover, new features of the device from Amazon include a new display technology with a higher contrast. The company says that the Kindle Paperwhite’s display is the most advanced e-reader display in history. The new device also has a built-in light which guides light towards the display’s surface in order to enable comfort reading.

The new Kindle Paperwhite has a 25% faster processor, which allows for the books to open faster. With the help of Cloud Collections, users can organize books in customized collections for easy reference and Amazon’s Whispersync technology which synchronizes their collections across the Kindle devices.
