Taiwanese singer Jay Chou has landed his second role in Hollywood in Now You See Me 2.
Jay Chou, the highest earning Tiawanese singer for 2014, will be seen in the Now You See Me 2, film company Lionsgate announced on November 6, 2014. The 35-year-old will star alongside Harry Potter and Woman In Black actor Daniel Radcliffe, as well as Mean Girls and Masters of Sex actress Lizzy Caplan.
Now You See Me 2 is a sequel to the 2013 heist movie Now You See Me, and will see the return of the original cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Dave Franco. However, Isla Fisher will this one out.
Jon M Chu of G.I. Joe: Retaliation fame will be directing the movie, which is set a year after the events of the first film, and is scheduled to release in June 2016. The film is about the exploits of the Four Horsemen, who are a group of illusionists, enlisted to commit a high-risk robbery by a dangerous new enemy.
Chou broke into Hollywood in the 2011 movie The Green Hornet, where he played the role of Kato. In Now You See Me 2, he will be indulging in magic tricks and illusions.
