Kanpur was buzzing with activity on Saturday night, when the all star Indian and Sri Lankan cricket teams landed there ahead of their second Test – which starts on Tuesday at the Green Park stadium.
In the first Test at Ahmedabad, India faced a gigantic 334 runs shortfall on the first innings and was in a bad position of not winning the match.
But, the ever reliable Sachin Tendulkar as well as Gautam Gambhir came to the rescue of India and made 412 runs which resulted in a bat out for the final day and a draw.
The Test created history for the master blaster Tendulkar who became the first ever batsman to score 30,000 international runs.
Sri Lankan is in India for a series of three Tests, five ODIs and two Twenty20s.
