Asia Bizz: Maruti Suzuki India has launched for the first time a luxury car for the Indian markets called the Maruti Kizashi. The Maruti Kizashi is completely imported from Japan as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU).
The price of the Maruti Kizashi is between Rs 16.50 – 17.50 lakh Indian rupees. Two versions of the car will be sold in India within this price range. The manual version will be priced at around Rs. 16.5 lakh and the automatic transmission will be priced at Rs. 17.5 lakh.
The car will be delivered in the Indian market from March onwards, but bookings of the car have started. The booking amount of the car is 50,000 Indian rupees.
The Maruti Kizashi is a 2.4 litre petrol engine and is imported directly from Japan’s Suzuki plant.
CEO and Maruti Suzuki India managing director Shinzo Nakanishi said,
“The Kizashi is a major step forward for Maruti Suzuki. With the launch of this luxurious sporty sedan, the company is able to offer an international car to top-end customers in India.”
