National carrier Air India is all set to receive its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner which will be landing on August 29, 2012. The official sources have said that a definitive delivery schedule will be firmed up as soon as two more are ready for delivery.

The Law and Justice Ministry has given its nod to the compensation settlement agreement which the carrier would sign with the US plane maker for almost four delay in its delay in its deliveries. A team of pilots, engineers and crew of Air India have already reached Boeing’s South Carolina facility to go through the formalities. The first aircraft will come now and Air India plans to take the deliveries of all of them by 2016.
