India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal announced on November 23, 2012, that his political party will be formed on November 24, 2012 and its national council meeting will also be held on the same day. Arvind tweeted about the development and invited all citizens for the launch ceremony, which will be held on November 26, 2012.

Kejriwal wrote, “Party wud b founded tomo. 1st National Council meeting tomo. Launch ceremony at Jantar Mantar on Mon. All invited Mon to be part of history”. The activist-turned-politician said while talking to reporters that the name of his political party will be announced on November 24, 2012.

The activist also reassuringly said that the party will not be structured around a high command, but will be democratic in nature, the details of which he will unveil on Saturday. The party will be formally launched on November 26, 2012, at Jantar Mantar.

The activist went on to say that more than 300 people are expected to gather from different parts of the country to adopt the constitution and also decide on the party name. Meanwhile, the office bearers of the party will have to submit the party’s framework and other formalities to the Election Commission for the registration of the party name.
