New Delhi-based tablet manufacturer Simmtronics has launched a new tablet for its XPad range, named the XPad X-1010. The XPad X-1010 tablet has been priced at Rs. 8,499. The main drawback of the device is that it does not have much to offer, but is expensive when compared to other tablets in its price range.
The new XPad X-1010 tablet has a 10.1-inch TFT LCD multi-touch capacitive display, which has a resolution that supports 1024 x 600 pixels. The device runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The new tablet also generates power from its Cortex A 8 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The XPad has dimensions of 10.5 x 165 x 263, with a weight of 610 grams.
The XPad X- 1010 has a front VGA camera with 8 GB internal memory. The connectivity features of the tablet include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The other options include 2 Micro USB ports, an HDMI port, a 3.5 mm audio jack with a micro SD card slot, which can be used to expand memory of up to 32 GB.
The device runs on a Lithium polymer 5600 mAh battery, which delivers a standby time of up to 150 hours. It will be interesting to see where the company plans to go with the new device, as it has not been competitively priced.
