On February 19, 2013, Toyota Tsusho Corp said that a medical care clinic has been opened by Thai subsidiary TT Medical and Welfare Management Thailand Co (TTMWM). The clinic has been opened by an automobile plant, which is operated by Toyota Motors Thailand, so as to care for employees and their families.
At present, Thailand is enjoying economic growth and rising personal income. Under such trends, the percentage of people who opt for high-quality treatment at private hospitals is increasing and medical expenses have also soared. Public hospitals are inexpensive, but the number of hospitals are limited which has caused overcrowding and inconvenience for the patients.
TTMWM observed the current conditions for medical treatment and has developed a plan to offer convenient and high quality medical services which are also reasonably priced. The medical clinic has been opened through a tie up with Ramathibodi hospital which is the country’s leading public hospital.
With the new clinic, the TTMWM has hoped that its enhanced medical facilities, functions and services meet market needs and contribute to the improvement of medical treatment conditions in Thailand. Toyota Tsusho is based in Tokyo and is a member of the Toyota Group. It is one of the largest trading companies in Japan.
