The Ladies’ Wing of IMC opened the long-awaited Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition on October 9, 2013. The event was attended by women from different fields and they made it successful with their presence at Taj Vivanta at Cuffe Parade in Mumbai.
The event had many celebrity women in attendance, including Raageshwari, Kokilaben Ambani, Indu Shahahi, Chhaya Momaya, Kiran Juneja, Malti Jain, Rashmi Thakeray, Satya Saran, Raell Padamsee, Nisha Jamwal and many others.
Women Entrepreneurs (WE) was promoted by the IMC Ladies' Wing and efforts were made during the promotion in order to provide women with an opportunity to showcase their products. Mrs Leena Vaidya, the president was overwhelmed by the response they received and said, “We shall continue organising such events and workshops to encourage more women entrepreneurs.”
The best part of the exhibition is that a portion of its proceedings will be donated to support the Rehabilitation of Uttarakhand. Later on, the event featured a fashion show with the nizam and indo fusion, which made the exhibition to be a complete success. The state of Uttarakhand during the monsoon faced massive floods, which took lives of thousands of pilgrims.
