Asia Bizz: China’s tropical resort, Sanya, is expecting the number of tourists this spring festival to peak, as many have already started to crowd the island province of Hainan. The Spring Festival in China or it is also known as the Lunar New Year, is one of the most important festivals in the country, where thousands of people travel to different parts of the country to celebrate it.
As per the latest count, some 36,000 people have arrived from different parts of China to celebrate the Spring Festival at this tropical resort. Sanya has always been one of the most sought tropical destinations in China, and this is the sole reason crowds in thousands show up during the holiday seasons.
Sanya is also known as the Hawaii of China, and it attracts tourists not only from China but from as far as Russia. Tourists from Northern China and Russia travel all the way south to the Hainan province to enjoy the bliss summer with sandy beaches which is quite pleasant during this time of the year.
