Asia Bizz: Swedish motor company Volvo has introduced its new variants of Volvo S60, S80 and XC60. The vehicles have been powered by the all new cylinder turbo D3 engine and will be priced at Rs 23.99 lakh, Rs 31.99 lakh, and Rs 3.99 lakh respectively.
At present, Volvo has three models in the Indian market which includes a rugged all wheel drive SUV, a high-end prestige sedan and an entry level sports luxury sedan. But the company has not been able to manage to create an impressive figure of sales in the respective segments.
Volvo is known for the world class safety features and the vehicles with D5 diesel models offer driver comfort technologies and the car maker’s globally successful safety.
The hefty price of the Volvo vehicles help the company to maintain its stature in the luxury car segment. But the new variants introduce the entire model range with the all new 5 cylinder turbo D3 diesel engine which has helped in bringing down the prices considerably. The new D3 engines are designed to reduce the displacement and to achieve maximum fuel efficiency. The new S60, S80 and XC60 is expected to give a mileage of 18.5 kmpl, 17.8 kmpl and 14.7 kmpl respectively.
