Asia Bizz: South Korean car making giant Hyundai is all set to launch its sixth generation Sonata during the third week of March 2012 in the Indian market. The new Sonata was unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo held in Delhi in the month of January.
It has a new fluidic design DNA that has become the family design language for Hyundai. The new Fluidic design has become very popular, which makes it a good looking car and has also reflected on the sales figures of the new Verna.
The company hopes that the new flagship model will be well accepted in the market. The Hyundai Sonata comes with a 2.4 litre direct injection petrol engine with 201 PS of power and 250Nm of torque. The engine specifications has made it the most powerful engine in its segment.
Apart from the powerful engine, the new Sonata is power packed with high-tech features including electric seats, ventilated seats, Bluetooth, rear audio controls, dual zone climate control and more. The safety features of the new Sonata include six airbags, anti-lock breaks, active headrest, electronic stability programme, traction control, break assist and electronic break force distribution. The other stand out features of the car include xenon lights with washers and paddle shift transmission.
