Asia Bizz: After unveiling the production version at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Ford is now all set to launch its 2013 Fiesta ST in Europe; but the US market will have to wait for a while for the new Fiesta.

The company said that it had a Fiesta ST as recently as in the year 2008, while the Americans did not get the regular Fiesta until a couple of years later.

The new Fiesta will have a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine and will be capable of reaching from zero to 62 miles per hour in just seven seconds.

Jost Capito, the director of Global Performance Vehicles, said that the Ford customers will be blown away by the new Fiesta ST by the exhilarating performance, styling and specifications. Capito added that the dynamic new hot hatch is undoubtedly the best Fiesta ST to date.

Apart from the excellent engine specifications, the new Fiesta excels in mechanical upgrades like, new body kit, roof spoiler, new side skirts, lower front and rear fascias and twin exhaust tips. Performance wise, there are high expectations from the Fiesta ST. But the question now arises of the new Ford Fiesta ST will be launched in the US or not.
