Asia Bizz: Indian telecom operator Bharti Airtel has recently launched its ‘1-day Bridge DataRoamUnlimited’ plan for post paid users. As per the new plan, post paid subscribers can get unlimited data usage while roaming across Asia Pacific for $10 per day.
Bridge Alliance has taken the initiative which has 11 member operator networks including Airtel in the Asia Pacific region. Ken Wee, the acting chief executive officer and vice president of Bridge Alliance, said that Airtel’s launch of the Bridge DataRoamUnlimited takes the alliance to the next level of expanded coverage and presence in the region.
The new plan by Bridge Alliance is a daily flat date data roaming plan that offers flexibility for customers roaming across the 11 Bridge Alliance member operator members in Hong Kong, Australia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The new plan can be activated through SMS.
The plan can be activated by the post paid mobile customers, or by contacting their customer care, executive before their overseas trip in Asia Pacific.
The plan is available with the following mobile operators in Asia – Airtel (India), AIS (Thailand), CSL (Hong Kong), Globe Telecom (Philippines), Maxis (Malaysia), SK Telecom (Korea), SingTel Mobile (Singapore), Telkomsel (Indonesia), CTM (Macau), and Taiwan Mobile (Taiwan).
