Asia Bizz: German auto manufacturer Volkswagen launched the diesel variant of its Vento for the Indian market on March 12, 2012 . The company has priced the Vento diesel at Rs 8.56 lakh in the state of Maharashtra and Rs 8.74 lakh for the rest of India.

The new variant has been named as the Vento Diesel Comfortline and has some great features in terms of the exterior body the interiors. The company released a press release in which it stated that the new Vento Diesel has coloured exterior door handles and mirrors, radio with CD and MP3 player, rear centre arm rest, height adjustable driver seat, fog light front and rear.

The features also include all that are available in the Vento Trendline. The Member of Board of Directors Volkswagen Passenger cars, Neeraj Garg said that since the introduction of the Vento they have received requests for the mid level trimline.

With the introduction of the diesel variant in the market where the diesel cars are in high demand, it will surely prove to be fruitful for the company in terms of sales. Garg added that it is their pleasure to provide the customers with their desired car.
