Asia Bizz: On March 20, 2012 a subsidiary of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation Limited (CSR) announced that it has won a bid to provide high speed trains for Hong Kong section of an intercity high speed railway connecting Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

The company is expected to provide nine sets of high speed trains for Hong Kong, in which each set will contain eight carriages. The trains have been designed to reach the speed of 350kmph.

Sifang, the Subsidiary CSR, said that the high speed trains will be based on its independently made CRH 380 model trains and the company will ensure the safety and reliability of the trains.
