Asia Bizz: India’s first Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich-based tablet, Zync Z-990 was revealed on March 21, 2012. The price of the tablet for the Indian market has been set at Rs 8,990 and comes with a unique feature that responds the touch of all your five finger.
The tablet features a 7-inch capacitive screen, 1.2 GHz processor with 1GB RAM which will enable the user with a smooth performance. The new Z-990 has 4 GB inbuilt memory of RAM that can be extended up to 32 GB.
For those who are not familiar with Zync, it is a part of the Noida-based Apple Group companies which has been involved in the mining business in Hong Kong. The other features of the Zync tablet include WiFi, full sized USB port, external keyboards, 3G USB dongles, 0.3 megapixel front camera, HDMI port and a micro USB port.
The chairman of Apple Group Industries, Ashish Garg, said that the new Zync Z 990 is the country’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet which features control over data usage, gallery app with photo editor, new lock action, new user interface, new camera capabilities and five point touch. Garg added that they have also designed a special keyboard for this tablet.
