Asia Bizz: The Metro Train services in Delhi were affected for the second consecutive day on March 30, 2012 after a major outage in the Metro affected the services on March 29, 2012.

A breakdown in the service was seen in the line from Dwarka to Vaishali from around 11 am. When the officials of the Metro were questioned, no one responded on the cause of the outage in the service.

It was peak hour time for commuters on Thursday when the signaling failure left thousands of commuters stranded in the Delhi NCR region. The services were disrupted during rush hour when the locals had to reach their respective offices.

The commuters were harassed a lot more due to the Metro failure, as they were already reeling under the traffic restrictions for the ongoing BRICS summit. The trains on the Blue Line, which connects Noida and Ghaziabad with Dwarka, were delayed since 8:45 am. This particular line is considered as one of the busiest routes. The trains were delayed as they were running at a restricted speed between Pragati Maidan and Mandi House stations.

The problem could be solved only after 2 pm and caused severe inconvenience to the commuters who had to reach their offices.
