Asia Bizz: The popular Mini brand, which is a part of the BMW Group, has made its place in the Indian market. The first Mini Showroom in the country will be inaugurated in Mumbai.

The brand has already become popular and has received more than 100 bookings from all over the country. The Infinity Cars Showroom in the city is the first exclusive Mini dealer in the Asian country.

The entire line up of the Mini will be showcased at the two storey facility in Mumbai. The line up of the Mini includes its hatchback, SUV and convertibles namely the Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper Country S and the Mini Convertible.

Reports say that the facility will also have an all day restaurant and the service centres for the Mini will be located in Chembur and Worli. The BMW Group also intends to launch two more dealerships in the country later this year and will be based in New Delhi under the Deutsche and Bird Motoren. The brand – which was once under the British ownership – was introduced in the country at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi earlier this year. The Mini models will go on sale from April 5, 2012 in the country which has been brought in to the market as ‘Completely Built Units’ (CBU).
