Asia Bizz: Japanese- based auto making giant Honda announced the development of a new technology known as the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) on April 5, 2012. The new technology has been developed for mid-sized vehicles and it is reported to significantly enhance the driving performance as well as fuel economy.
The new technology is also the latest addition to the Earth Dreams Technology series of the revolutionary next generation technologies for automobiles. It was also announced on Thursday that the all new Step WGN and Step WGN Spada will be the first vehicles which will feature the new CVT.
The vehicles will also offer the highest fuel economy in its class. The new CVT technology will function as a means to enhance fuel economy and is compatible with an idle stop system; it also has a highly-efficient electric pump along with other features.
Moreover the new technology also features the G Design shift which is a new coordinated system for gearing, throttle and hydraulic control. The new technology also helps the vehicle to respond quickly to the driver input and maintains a strong and smooth acceleration.
The Earth Dreams Technology was announced by Honda in the year 2011. It is a series of next generation technologies for automobiles that significantly enhances driving performance and fuel economy.
