Asia Bizz: Online retail store Flipkart.com has put on sale Samsung’s popular Galaxy Tab 680 (7.7) for just Rs. 28,500 in India. Vodafone India has listed the device with a price tag of just Rs. 26,149.
Prior to this, the tablet was available at a price of Rs. 33,571 on the online shopping site. The Galaxy Tab 680 was unveiled at the IFA 2011 in Germany.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 weighs 225 grams and is being promoted by the company as the World’s first mobile tablet featuring super AMOLED Plus Display. The special display of the of the tablet gives users a wide range of colors and also helps in separation between lights and darks.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual core application processor and a powerful battery which helps in providing up to ten hours of video playback time. The Tab runs on an Android 3.2 Honeycomb platform with 1GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and can support micro SD cards of up to 32 GB. The other prominent features of the tab include 3 megapixel auto focus camera, with LED flash and 2 mega pixel secondary camera. The connectivity features of the phone include Wi Fi Direct, 3G, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 Host and A-GPS.
