Asia Bizz: After going through three cycles of chemotherapy in the United States of America, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has returned to his homeland India on April 9, 2012. The cricketer, who was undergoing treatment for a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs, was received by his fans at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
Singh landed at the airport in a Jet Airways flight and was received by his mother. Before landing in India, the cricketer spent a few days in London in order to recuperate from the after effects of the treatment.
Yuvraj shaved his head during the treatment and was seen wearing a red cap along with a red t shirt and Khaki pants. The cricketer made his way through several fans and media personnel who were waiting for him to arrive at the airport.
Singh looked cheerful and flashed a a smile and a victory sign and walked towards his white Audi SUV waiting outside the airport. One of Yuvraj’s friends, who was with him in the US during the treatment, said that the cancer is now completely out of the system and that he is better now.
Singh had left for the US for treatment in the month of January 2012 and had been regularly in touch with his fans.
