Smartphone manufacturing giant Research In Motion (RIM) on April 18, 2012 launched the new BlackBerry smartphone in the Indian market. The company also said that the new BlackBerry Curve 9220 is the most affordable phone from the series.

The new device by RIM has a dedicated key for BlackBerry Messenger as well as FM radio. RIM in a statement said that the new device also has a long battery life.

The new software is known as the Mobile Fusion and was first announced in the month of November. RIM also assured that it will shortly release a few updates for the BlackBerry Apps which will make it easier for the users to stay in touch with their messenger community. The company also said that the apps will include Facebook, Twitter, BlackBerry App world and BBM Music.
