While the Indian government is all set to launch the new version of its tablet Aakash, Telmoco Development Labs Pvt has launched its own tablet to compete with the world’s cheapest tab. The new tab is known as the Attitude Daksha and comes in a 7 inch variant launched on April 25, 2012.
Even the cost of the new tablet is competitive enough at Rs. 5,399 and is also touted to be the most powerful 7 inch tablet computer for students. The tablet has been launched for the students as well as professionals.
Telmoco now plans to compete in the low cost tablet PC market where the Aakash tablet has a dominant position at present. The new Daksha features capacitive 5 point touch screen with 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A 8 processor along with 512 MB DDR 3 RAM.
Some of the other connectivity features of the tablet include Micro SD slot, HDMI Port , 3.5 mm audio output, Micro USB port and OTG connector for 3G dongle and RJ 451AN cable. The company has claimed that it gives a battery back up of over 6 hours with Wi-Fi on. The Attitude Daksha is also capable of 1080 full HD video streaming with dedicated 400 MHz GPU for advanced flash apps.
