Italian car manufacturer, Lamborghini has opened its second dealership in India. The new Lamborghini dealership has been opened on Prabha Devi road in Mumbai, which will be managed by Auto Hangar.
The sports car company had its dealership through Exclusive Motors in New Delhi. Globally, the company now has a total of 125 dealerships.
The decision to open a new dealership in the country was taken looking at the growing demand. Moreover, Lamborghini is also considering options for another dealership to represent the company in South India. Stephen Winkelmann the CEO and president of Lamborghini said, “Lamborghini has always eyed the Indian market with a lot of interest. The past year saw the market potential and realised being in one centre alone will not be enough. Therefore we chose the financial capital as our second destination.”
Till date the company has sold about 12 to 20 cars in the Indian market annually. Most of the cars that were sold were V10 powered Gallardo’s. The company now aims to sell at least 50 cars in a year by the year 2015. Lamborghini showcased the new Aventador at the Geneva Motor Show and the company has already received 11 pre-bookings of the sports car in India out of which two are slated for Mumbai. The new showroom will have the entire line up of the Lamborghini sports cars and will also have the exclusive merchandise and accessories.
