Indian mobile phone manufacturer, Micromax has on April 27, 2012 launched its A50 Superfone Ninja handset for the Indian market. The new phone from the company comes with a voice assistant Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assitant (AISHA).
The new A50 is a dual SIM phone and runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and is powered by a 650 MHz processor. The features of the phone include 3.1 inch capacitive touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera and has been price4d at Rs. 4,999.
The device has a unique feature of AISHA, which is a voice assistant similar to that of Siri available in the iPhone 4S. The feature allows the user to initiate a Google search, know hone status, view stock market details, movie reviews, make calls, translate text, read news of desired locations, etc. by just speaking to the device.
The new feature also allows the user to update their status on the social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. Micromax, for the smooth functioning of AISHA has a back end tie up with the Indian portals like Timesjobs.com and SimpleMarry.com. The company offers the Android handsets like the A85, A75, A73 and A78 at the price ranging between Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 12,500.
