Indian mobile manufacturer, Karbonn Mobiles has joined hands with Dolby Laboratories so as to incorporate Dolby sound in the upcoming mobile phones. The company will soon be launching a full touch screen phone which will have the Dolby sound technology in the upcoming week.
The KT81 will be the first in the series of the phones which will have the new technology and the first of the new collaboration. The new technology has been designed to deliver powerful, louder and clearer sound on the phones.
Some of the features of the new phone include 3.2 inch capacitive screen with Haptic Touch interface, 3.2 mega pixel camera and also an ability to install apps which will be available through the app store of Karbonn, known as the ‘K-store’. The new KT81 also has FM radio with recording capability and the users can also download java applications from the company’s ‘K-Zone’ apart from the pre installed applications like YouTube, NexgTV for live TV.
The new KT81 can also record 2000 contacts phone book, GPRS support and EDGE for internet connectivity. The new handset will also have a 1000 mAH battery, expandable memory of up to 16 GB. The price of the new handset is expected to be Rs.5,000.
