Almost a month after the launch of the 4G services in Kolkata, the services have now been launched in the city of Bengaluru on May 7, 2012. The services were inaugurated by the state CM, D.V Sadananda Gowda.

Before the launch the reports of the introduction of the new plans by Airtel for the 4G enthusiasts have been doing the rounds. Now the Airtel subscr5ibers across the state and Kolkata can now try the new 4G service and enjoy a speed of 100 Mbps in just Rs. 999.

The tariff plans have been offered by Airtel with the various plans like Break Free, Break Free Max, Break Free Ultra and Break Free Ultimate. The company is offering the 4G customers in Bengaluru and Kolkata, what it refers as ‘Smartbytes’.

The new feature is known as Airtel’s LTE top up service which will allow the Airtel 4G customers to purchase the add-on packs which can be purchased once they have exhausted the free benefit usage. The company has also introduced an interesting feature known as the ‘movie catalogue’ which will have 35 movies for the 4G LTE customers. For the first month Airtel will offer 10 movie titles for free over lightning fast Airtel 4G LTE, which can be watched without buffering.
