Search engine giant, Google has on May 8, 2012 launched its app Vault, specially for the business customers in India. The new app offers a solution for managing information which is critical to its customers and also helps in preserving important data.

The company has also claimed that the new app can reduce the cost of litigation, compliance action, regulatory. The new app can also be added to an enterprise Google Apps for an additional $5 per user for a month.

The search engine giant also said that the Vault is different from the traditional solutions and does not require costly IT environment and can also be deployed in minutes. The new app offers security, reliability of Google Apps to information governance and also ease of use.

Jack Halprin, the head of eDiscovery, Google in a company statement said, “Businesses of all sizes need to be prepared for the unexpected. In today’s environment, using Vault to manage, archive and preserve your data can help protect your business”. The Vault would also provide its Google Apps customers extended management as well as information governance capabilities to proactively archive, preserve and retain Gmail and on-the-record chats.
