Computer peripherals manufacturing giant Kobian has announce the launch of its iXA Tab for the Indian market. The new tablet has specially been designed for the growing number of students and masses in general.

The tablet from Kobian is expected to compete directly with the already popular Datawind’s Ubislate 7C, which is yet to be released in the market. The users of the tab can surf the web, access email, view videos, music, games, e-books, and much more.

The tablet can be pre-booked from May 23, 2012 for a price of Rs. 3,999. The iXA tab is a ultra thin tablet and is powered by Android 2.3 with a weight of 341 gms.

It features 1GHz processor, resistive touch screen, 512 MB RAM and 4GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 32 GB through micro SD cards. Some of the connectivity features of the tablet include Wi Fi, that allows internet access, email access, video chat and more. The tablet also has multimedia features like mp3, wav, wma, aac and more. One can even watch movies and videos while on the go or from home of office. The tablet comes with optional accessories like case with keyboard.
