French auto maker, Renault launched the petrol version of its Pulse on May, 11 for the Indian market. The much in demand diesel version of the Pulse was launched by the company in the month of January 2012.
The new gasoline version has been priced at Rs.4.25 lakhs, ex-showroom price Delhi . Three versions of the petrol variants of the Pulse have been launched which are powered by 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder 80PS motor along with a five speed gear box.
The RXE which is the base version costs at Rs. 4.25 lakh, while the top end model RXZ goes up to Rs. 5.55 lakh, ex-showroom price Delhi. Just like the diesel variant the Pulse will be available in six exterior and two interior colour options.
The top end model of the Pulse has features like the front dual airbags, automatic climate control, illuminated engine start and stop button, lock/unlock sensing folding outside rear view mirrors, ABS, all power windows, follow me headlamps and integrated audio. It has been noticed that 80 percent of the buyers of hatchbacks opt for diesel variant due to the low ownership cost. This was the reason Renault launched the diesel variant before the petrol variant.
