While the new Sony Xperia P smartphone is all set to be launched in the Indian market, the reports of its pricing have started to surface. Reports claim that the new Xperia will be priced around Rs. 26,000 in the Indian market.
The new Xperia P was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress on February 26, 2012 along with the Xperia U. The Xperia P sports features like 4 inch scratch resistant TFT screen with a resolution of 960 X 540 pixels.
The smartphone has been powered by Android 2.3 operating system which can be upgraded to Android 4, Ice Cream Sandwich. The Xperia also features 1 GHz U8500 dual core processor.
Other features of the smartphone include, 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash, 8x digital zoom, internal storage capacity of 16 GB and 1GB RAM. The new Xperia U and Xperia Sola are currently available for pre-order on the online shopping sites like Flipkart.com for Rs. 16,499 and Rs. 19,999 respectively. The company has also claimed that it has a 1320 mAh Li-Ion battery which will be capable of up to 45 hours of music playback with over 6 hours of talk time on 2G networks.
