Indian mobile phone service provider, Spice Mobility has announced that it will soon be coming up with the country’s first ‘secure Android’. Secure Android offers the users pre-embedded security solutions to the users in the upcoming range of Mobile Internet smartphones.
The new initiative by Spice Mobility, will make the devices safe and secure at times when the users are constantly threatened of data stalking faced by the smartphones. The cases of unsecure data has increased as the world is opening more towards mobile internet and m-commerce.
On an average the smartphone users is exposed to various threats which can even interrupt the operation of the smartphone and transmit or modify the user data. Industry sources have mentioned that there are about six hundred types of mobile phone viruses which exist onlu in smartphones.
It has also been predicted that the number of global smartphone users is expected to exceed 1 billion by the year 2013. And by the year 2015, the total number of handsets sold across the world will make up for 40 percent. For all such reasons it is essential for the applications to guarantee privacy and the integrity of the information they handle.
