Indian telecommunications company Karbonn Mobiles has on May 18, launched its new mobile phone Karbonn KT 21 Express for the Indian market. The new KT-21 comes with an application which the company claims to provide access to more than 50 free air to air TV channels.

Shashin Devsare, the executive director of Karbonn Mobiles said, “The Karbonn KT-21 Express has NexgTV application which allows users to watch more than 50 live TV Channels on the phone using 2G network. At present these are all free to air channels”. Devsare also revealed that the users need to activate their internet pack on their mobile number to access live TV.

Some of the other interesting applications on the phone include Karbonn Instant Messenger (KIM), Instant Messaging service and that too without paying any extra charges. The executive director added, “The messenger will work on the already subscribed mobile internet pack”.

The phone will also allow the users to download other instant messaging solution GTalk. The new KT-21 also has a push mail facility that allows the handset users to access E-mails to integrate email accounts like that of Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook and other email services. The new mobile has a 7.1 inch centimetre touch screen along with motion sensor and comes at a price of Rs. 4,999.
