The owners of the Samsung Galaxy S II in India are still waiting to receive the update of Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). But in some good news for the new buyers, the handsets are now pre-installed with the 4.0 Android Operating system.
The social net6working sites are abuzz with reports that the fresh buyers of the Galaxy S II are getting the smartphone with Android 4.0. More than one buyer has confirmed that their brand new Galaxy S II are running on the official Android 4.0 OS from Samsung.
The buyers have informed that the boxes of the units have shown April 2012 as the import date. So the prospective buyers can now look for the an April or a later import date so as to get the official ICS pre-loaded on their smartphone.
Samsung has already begun rolling out the ICS update in many other countries, but the Indian customers are still waiting for the update. As the new units of the smartphone are already coming with pre-loaded ICS, it is expected that the company might come out with an update for the already existing users. The Galaxy S II comes with a Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen and has 1GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage.
