Indian Broadband internet service provider, Sify Technologies along with Vidyo, a US based company has launched its new service ‘Videomeet’ on May 23, 2012. It is actually a device which will make video conferencing easier and more accessible.
The new product from the companies was launched simultaneously in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore through video conference. The new service provides the users the quality experience in tele presence, no matter where the person is on any device like mobile, laptop, desktop or tablet.
It has the ability to connect the users with their colleagues and the best part of the service is that it is not confined to the conference room even the quality of the video is high definition(HD). Moreover, the companies who are using the other video conferencing infrastructure can use the product without any initial investment.
A new user can have the equipment between Rs. 2.5 lakh and 9 lakh and after the initial investment, the operational cost comes to Rs. 2000 per month. CVS Suri, the president and CEO of Sify Enterprise services said, “We have both room-based and web-based solutions with zero capex which is our main advantage”. For unlimited videos, the customers can avail the fixed rental package or can even use the pay per use option.
